Within the last two years hybrid working has become a big topic due to the following reasons:
- Covid-19
- Technological progress & digitalisation
- New Work / New Generation
A hybrid working model provides employees with greater flexibility and the option to work from home or anywhere they can be productive. With hybrid working, the workplace is no longer inside the four walls of the corporate office—it is an ecosystem of employees working from home, in coworking spaces, and the office.
To gain an insight into the topic of hybrid working, we invited Mr. Andreas Reiter from teamazing to join us on Tuesday, 29th November 2022. Teamazing is a young Graz-based company specialised in online team building, virtual collaboration, and team development. They already have locations in Vienna and Munich.
Mr. Reiter showed us how hybrid working can work, using the company teamazing as an example. Teamazing has created a virtual office for this reason. Whether at home or in the office, with your personal avatar you can take part in meetings, exchange ideas with work colleagues or have lunch together.
Implementing hybrid working is associated with several challenges. For example, technical equipment/IT infrastructure and communication within the team must be in place. The relationship and trust between the team members is also particularly important. Therefore, hybrid working needs clear structures and rules.
We enjoyed the workshop very much. It gave the eXpand and KFUNIline staff a great insight and application of hybrid working. We will try to implement some ideas in our practice enterprises.
A big thank you to Mr. Andreas Reiter for his visit.
