We invest in individual, pedagogical, and organisational learning to support practice enterprise’s processes and techniques in an innovative manner. Our goal is to enable all employees to work from home. We support a flexible working atmosphere. To UniLine our opportunities, we make sure that we work as one team. Each employee works efficiently on tasks on the one hand to increase value and output and on the other hand to increase learning outcome.
The students should gain a deep understanding of the teaching and learning method practice enterprise trough exploration and reflection. They should gain the understanding and the experience on how to lead and design a practice enterprise by themselves.
Additionally, UniLine aims to enrich the practice enterprise market by increasing the offer as an English-speaking PE and an active participant in the national and international PE market.
Our focus this semester is on sustainability and digitalization to follow the megatrends of the economy. You can find more detailed information on this under the subheadings.
The students should gain consciousness about the practice enterprise (PE) as a complex field of action and experience. They should be able and ready to critically reflect on the practice enterprise method as well as their different roles (students – employees – and potential future teachers) they assume, and the learning opportunities these perspectives create.
The ignition for every semester is a two-day strategy-seminar outside of Graz. This helps us to set the tone for the different learning environment the practice enterprise provides. It also helps the students to gain a mindset that shows them how seriously the tasks of the practice enterprise are to be taken and helps to create a company culture that builds on teamwork and trust from the very first moment on.
During the semester the students work in small groups in different processes and departments. To better organize their work, they are provided an office at the university campus, that is at their disposal throughout the semester. The students take on the responsibility to self-organise their work and take care of the provided office-space.
The evaluation is based on an exam-immanent course by performance demonstrations, self- and external-evaluation as well as the curation of a detailed portfolio of their semester-achievements. Students are expected to explore and experience the teaching-learning-setting of a practice enterprise and gain an understanding how a practice enterprise can be designed and lead. Leading students through this experience, we offer a lot of freedom, but we also expect them to act self-responsibly and self-organised.
