In the last blog post, we reported that the semi-annual strategy seminar has been completed and the future direction has been set. To achieve the newly defined goals and to successfully manage previous successes, the team and the various departments are of utmost priority for the company. In this blog post, we would like to give you a closer look at these departments and their areas of responsibility.
Management
The management serves as a role model for teaching and learning within our practice company. It plays a key role in the design and organization of educational courses, guest lectures, and training days throughout the semester, as well as leading strategy seminars at the beginning of each semester. Together with the practice firm members, the management continuously develops the UniLine practice company. It assists various departments in overcoming challenges and supports the achievement of their goals. Following Pestalozzi's educational philosophy, our practice company’s motto is: "A dynamic practice company with mind, heart, and hand."
Corporate Support
The Corporate Support Profit Center forms the backbone of UniLine. Here, essential administrative tasks are coordinated to ensure the smooth operation of the practice company. This includes office management, the administration of mail and IT services, and the organization of numerous mailings. Another important aspect is knowledge management, which involves the introduction of moderation and minutes-taking practices. These ensure that all essential information is recorded and regularly updated. Additionally, this profit center is responsible for monthly payroll and total quality management. Through continuous monitoring of suggestions from the last semester and the collection of new ideas, the quality of work is constantly improved. The evaluation and planning of handover processes, including handling applications and selecting new members for next semester, complete the tasks in Corporate Support.
Profit Center East
The Profit Center East focuses on order management in the regions of Vienna, Lower Austria, and Burgenland. Additionally, this profit center is responsible for all marketing activities and the exploration of new markets. Marketing efforts are driven through various channels, such as our website and social media. To snag a bargain during our Christmas campaign week, it’s advisable to follow these channels! Another emphasis lies on banking transactions and the development of a new product portfolio, as well as the preparation of a sponsorship folder for our main sponsor, the Raiffeisenlandesbank.
Profit Center West
The Profit Center West, which covers order management in Vorarlberg, Tyrol, and Salzburg, is tasked with handling international orders and exploring new markets. Another important aspect is tax matters, which must be handled carefully. The creation of monthly controlling reports and the financial statement as of December 31 are also part of the responsibilities. These tasks not only promote transparency but also the strategic alignment of the profit center. Therefore, anyone needing data from accounting will find competent advice here.
Profit Center South
In the Profit Center South, which focuses on Styria and Carinthia, the emphasis is on digitalization and the use of artificial intelligence. Specific use cases are developed and presented to achieve quick wins and create a comprehensive AI strategy for UniLine. Another important point is the sustainable development of the training company in all aspects, as well as the management and coordination of the PEN-QM audits for this year.
Although the departments pursue somewhat separate tasks, it is the prevailing synergy and collaboration that have contributed to UniLine's success for many years. This collaboration will be described in more detail in the next blog post, so stay tuned!
