The second semester of the Wipäd degree course is coming to an end - for many students the moment when they realize: "I've almost made it!" But now it's getting exciting: the application process for Uniline, the University of Graz's practice enterprise, is just around the corner.
The Info Day - an evening full of insights
The journey begins with the Info Day. Here, the current members of Uniline invite you to a special evening during which the practice enterprise is presented in detail. There will be insights into the various departments and their tasks, and it will be explained what makes working at the practice enterprise so unique. The evening also offers the opportunity to network and exchange ideas with other students in a relaxed atmosphere. Particularly pleasing: this semester there was a unique buffet from mel&koffie with delicious rolls and great cinnamon buns as well as mulled wine vouchers from the student representatives for the university's mulled wine stand - a culinary highlight that was certainly well received.
The application process - how it works
To become part of the Uniline, applicants must demonstrate their skills and creativity. The process comprises three steps:
- CV: An English-language CV must be submitted that includes your career to date as well as the most important hard and soft skills. After all, the working language of the practice enterprise is English, and a professional CV is an important first impression.
- Personality video: In addition, a maximum one-minute video should be created that focuses on the applicant's personality. Whether creative, humorous or inspiring - the aim is to get to the heart of your own strengths.
- Department preference: Applicants are free to specify their preferred department. Whether you are a marketing professional, an organizational talent or a numbers whiz - you can bring your own interests and talents to bear in the various departments.
The tension mounts...
Each application is thoroughly reviewed and assessed using a clear evaluation scheme. All applicants receive feedback on both their CV and the video - valuable feedback that can be used for personal development.
Then it gets exciting: after the strategy seminar in the first week of the new semester, it is announced in which department the personal journey at Uniline will begin. This announcement is the highlight of the process and regularly causes great anticipation.
Why it's worth the effort:
Uniline is much more than a practice enterprise - it is a hands-on experience that offers valuable insights into the world of practice enterprise work. Here, students can put their skills to use, make new contacts and gain important experience that will be useful far beyond their studies.
So if you have almost completed your second semester, you should not miss this opportunity. The Info Day and the subsequent application process are the first step on the way to an exciting and instructive time at the Uniline.
